Question: I am not sure where did i hear or read it but i believe there was a war and prophet s.a.w said whoever would be the first one to attack on the enemy will go to heaven and it was yazid who did that. Now, either this thing is wrong or right. If it is right please share the reference. I believe I heard this in Dr. Zakir Naik’s video.

Yeah you would have heard such an attempt to defend Yazeed only by individual by Zakir Nalaiq. Anyhow, yes there is one such tradition in bukhari but Sunni Imams have rejected the notion that the Hadith in anyway provide any benefit to Yazeed for two reasons:

1. Yazeed did not join that particular war.
2. Even if he had gone for that war, the Hadith does not gurantee that such a person will not commit any sin after that war, so what if such a person start comming major sins after taking part in the war, will such a person still be considered eligible for paradise?
