Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

First of all, I am not asking anything in favor or against “yazid” or someone else. I am not raising any point on the “events” taht lead to karbala. so guys .. be sensible and discuss the topic with wisdom and knowledge rather being emotional. WE ALL RESPECT HAZRAT HUSSAIN (R.A) and there is no doubt about it ..

Question: What was the biggest reason that Hazrat Hussain didn’t accept yazid as Caliph?

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

In my opinion and as per my knowledge Because He was a Faasiq. i.e. Considered himself Muslim but habbits which history relates are proof of what he did and was. and a Faasiq ruler can not be 'Just'.. TO back my point that of a saying by Hazrat Umar RA said that.. if even a goat was thirsty / dying of thirst on the river Furaat I will be accountable for it on the day of judgement..and if in yazids ''Command' - order ..water was cut off for the Family of the Prophet SAW .. what does this show ..I mean Prayer behind a faasiq Imam is invalid .. and we re talking about 'Bait - allegiance to yazid which is alot bigger..simply isnt tolerate-able ...

Therefore, Biggest negative point was that he was a Faasiq and Imam e Hussain RA was Taught better by the Prophet SAW.

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

Allah better know what was the right reason behind this. But as far as I know! Hazrat Hussain had not any personal dispute with Yazeed. According to Dr. Israr Ahmed Hazrat Hussain was against the Khandani khilafat. Moreover Koofis were writing him the letters that they would accept him as his Khalifa and when Hazrat Hussain recahed there, those koofis refused to take his oath.

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

He was not eligible to become a Muslim leader and lead the Ummah as he was notorious homosexual and drunkard and most importantly had denied that Muhammad (s) was a Prophet and he openly stated that Muhammad (s) had (naudobillah) played a drama about his Nawabuwah and there was no Wahi at all.

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

I have read and listened all the videos/books/literature of Dr. Israr and about this particular event and thats the reason things have confused me. I dun have time to read more from different resources, thats why i am asking questions here so that I may read different views.

Ahan - is there any reference or anything like that?

Question: I am not sure where did i hear or read it but i believe there was a war and prophet s.a.w said whoever would be the first one to attack on the enemy will go to heaven and it was yazid who did that. Now, either this thing is wrong or right. If it is right please share the reference. I believe I heard this in Dr. Zakir Naik's video.

P.S:
This discussion has nothing to do with our believes in our faith. We believe in Allah and we believe in Prophet. I am discussing all that from "history" point of view. So please .. keep emotions aside.

P.S 2:
Please keep your answers short and to the point. Its better to read small answers rather reading essays on things. if i have doubts on anything, I would ask for reference. or you can include references in the post.

Yeah you would have heard such an attempt to defend Yazeed only by individual by Zakir Nalaiq. Anyhow, yes there is one such tradition in bukhari but Sunni Imams have rejected the notion that the Hadith in anyway provide any benefit to Yazeed for two reasons:
1. Yazeed did not join that particular war.
2. Even if he had gone for that war, the Hadith does not gurantee that such a person will not commit any sin after that war, so what if such a person start comming major sins after taking part in the war, will such a person still be considered eligible for paradise?

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

After Hazrat Ali (RZA) the Imam Hassan (RZA) signed a treaty with Hazrat Moavia(RZA) and gave up HIS right for Khilafa in the name of unity between the muslims.

The issue between the two parties got hot when Yazeed was delcared as Crown Prince and everyone in the Muslim Empire was asked for bait in favor of his Khilafah... many including Imam Hussain (RZA) refused!!! later Imam Hussain (RZA) with family moved to Makkah...

Things seems to be in Order, even when Yazeed took over, he tried to get the Bait from some well-known Sahabas and on their refusals he just kept quite as they were not supporting any up-rising against the govt of Damascus...

It was then the people of KOFA who wrote series of letters to Imam Hussain (RZA) convincing Him for up-rising against Ummayads and later when Imam responded, they just ran away and left Him alone at the times he needed their support the most...

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

Cite your references please, Many on this thread have made claims i have never had the pleasure of reading in any book the particular thing about Hazrat Ali (A.S) signing a treaty with Mwawiya.

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

Who said Hazrat Ali (RZA) signed any treaty with Hazrat Moavia (RZA)???

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala

My bad I read your statement wrong but you still need to cite references I am aware of what you have written however others would want to look into the sources themselves.

Re: Questiosn related to topics that lead to karbala
