[4:4] And give women their dowries as a free gift, but if they of themselves be pleased to give up to you a portion of it, then eat it with enjoyment and with wholesome result.
Below is a link from famous Egyptian scholar and historian Mohammad Husnain Haykal’s biography of the Prophet saww. According to the sources he cited, the mehr for the marriage between the Prophet saww and Khadija as was 200 camels. Other traditions confirm that the mehr was arranged by the uncle of Prophet, Abu Talib.

According to the hadith, the amount of dower was twelve uqiyas and one nash. That could be in shape of anything. However, I can quote only this hadith.
**In book ‘The Book of Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah)’ of Sahih Muslim hadith No. 3318
**
Abu Salama b. 'Abd al-Rahman reported: I asked 'A’isha, the wife of Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him): What is the amount of dower of Allah’s Messenger 
? She said: It was twelve 'uqiyas and one nash. She said: Do you know what is al-nash? I said: No. She said: It is half of uqiya, and it amounts to five hundred dirhams, and that was the dower given by Allah’s Messenger to his wives.

thanks for the reference from Sahih Muslim ..does that all 6 wives were given a total of 12500 dirhams so 2000 dirhams per wife?
