Re: Questions about 9/11 that you still dont have answers to
Its interesting that the conspiracy theories themselves have evolved as the events after 9/11 unfolded.
Initially, there was utter shock and genuine sorrow felt for the US after the attacks. This lasted roughly a week or so.
After that, was the defenders phase, in which people started defending and justifying the attacks by Al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden was seen as a hero for attacking the infidels and that the US foreign policies such as support for Israel, US troops in Saudi Arabia is the reason behind these attacks. This lasted roughly till October 2001.
Then, when US started to bomb the Taliban and Afghanistan, then the first conspiracy theories emerged stating that the Jews were not in WTC on 9/11, and the US government was responsible for 9/11 and used it as a pretext to attack Afghanistan.
While the Conspiracy Theories coming out of the Arab and Muslim World were mostly nonsense with no coherent narrative such as some people were denying and blaming Israel for 9/11 while some were praising the 19 hijackers.
It was actually the White Supremacists and Marxist Leftist within the United States who really gave shape and coherence to the much established conspiracy theories. Conspiracy Theories such as Building 7 being used as a base to conduct 9/11 and then being destroyed, Controlled Demolition of WTC Towers, Missile hitting Pentagon, United 93 being shot down, Military Industrial Complex needing a new enemy after the Soviet Union and Cold War, Jews wanting to start a war between West and Islam, etc. These were embodied in documentaries such as Loose Change I, II, III and In Plane Sight, etc.
While all of these theories have been debunked by facts, science, math and common sense, that is the reason why so many new iterations of Loose Change and In Plane Sight keep emerging.
But then it comes to a point that no matter what evidence or proof or rationale or reason you present to these Conspiracy Theorists, they just will not believe you, much like how some people belief about Barack Obama's fake birth certificate or he is a secret Muslim.
I am not a Conspiracy Theorist, I have never have been, nor will ever be. I believe in facts and figures, science and math. Indulging in Conspiracy Theories is a very wasteful endeavor.
Its like a Son who smokes Cigarettes and his Parents tell him to stop but the Smoker does not feel well and goes to a Doctor to get checked out and the Doctor Tells him that he has Cancer. Any rationale person would act to stop smoking Cigarettes but the Son then invents a conspiracy theory that his parents told the doctor to tell him that he has Cancer so he can stop smoking.
Or when a child is doing bad in school. Rationale Parents should focus on the child's study habits but instead Parents invent a conspiracy theory that the school is on purpose failing the child, or teachers are changing the marks on the child's tests to fail him on purpose.
These conspiracy theories only serve to give personal gratification and deflect the problem onto others instead of doing some soul searching and trying to correct the problem.
The reason I started discussing 9/11 is that I was very saddened by the fact that very established Guppies were indulging in this conspiracy mumbo jumbo instead as serving as elder Posters and correct the false and ridiculous assertions and beliefs that many people have.
So I wanted to present the factually correct narrative. I hope that anyone who reads this thread gets a different perspective than the regular conspiracy driven dialogue that occurs among Pakistanis.
I don't want to get into another long debate on 9/11. I have done enough of those to last me a lifetime but I just wanted to make this point as to why I decided to join this discussion.
Good day :)
