I have seen a few situations where all the kids in a family were able to handle their parents getting divorced but not one single situation where the father has taken a second wife and all the kids had accepted it and been fine in the end..
Same.. Looking around at ppl I know who’ve divorced then remarried I honestly think there’s more chance of being happy in the end.. I don’t want a whole life ahead of me of the jealousy, insecurity and selfishness I’ve seen in setups where there’s more than one wife (am not saying it’s not possible, just I’ve not seen it work out well in real-life)
Of course Islamically he has the right to take another wife but I also have the right to not be part of such an arrangement..
