Question...

How should one keep their praying area paak and saaf? I vaccum my carpet and don’t use that area (where I pray) so that nothing gets spilled in that area…and use fabreez as well at times…but is that enough?

Re: Question...

**remember one thing: ALL dry areas are PAAK unless u see nijaasat or something that is wet or u KNOW something NAJIS fell on the spot where u gonna pray...that's the beauty of Islam...u do NOT HAVE to set aside a part of the house as a masjid...i've seen some people make one of the rooms as prayer room...u CAN if u wish to [it's NOT wrong] but you do NOT have to...that's the point i'm trying to make...:)

there is a Hadees jiskaa mafHoom yeh hai k:

ghar ko masjid ma banaao aur masjid ko ghar

Re: Question...

Its not a masjid or anything but I keep that place a bit more clean and not use it or keep anything there just in case thats all.

Re: Question...

↑What he said. Alhamdulillah.

Yes, that's well enough.

Re: Question...

thats perfectly fine.

Re: Question...

If i ever have the opportunity, id like to make a spare bedroom into a room just specifially for praying, i really like the idea of having a small prayer room. I guess it was just for that purpose itd be easy to keep it clean too.
From what you posted teelobhain, your praying area sounds pretty paak and saaf.

Re: Question...

As KKF said, your having to pray in a clean place means that you have pray somewhere without impurity. If you spill milk, juice or water there, it doesn't make it impure.

Re: Question...

We have a small room in our house which we've basically made a masjid as there isn't much else you can do with it. People quite like the idea. Personally I will pray on any piece of clean carpet/rug in the house, of course your typical Pakistanis get shocked when they see you praying with a 'jai-namaz'.

Re: Question...

Peace Teelobhain,

In addition to KKF & others comments. Acceptance of 'namaz' is depend on our 'intention' (niya). When i went for Umrah purpose, i hav seen peoples doing tawaf of Khana Kaba and at the time of prayers, they all started offering prayers at same place. Same as i have seen at Maidan-e-Arafaat, when the time of prayers came ahead all offered theirs prayers at that ground. What i'm trying to say the tawaf area and the ground of maidan-e-arafaat both were dry. Same as all rooms of our home are in state of dry. So yes we can offer namaz anywhere in home by using Masllah or without using it.

Re: Question...

Okay...thank you guys :) thats pretty useful..
