What’s the difference between baking soda and baking powder. I used to think that baking soda was a deodourizer while baking powder was for baking needs. But in recipes portal, i was making naans recipe by Pareezy (btw they turned out so yumm, n fresh) and it had baking soda in it. And that’s wat i used but just wanted to know the difference and if both are edible.
Baking powder is actually a mix of Baking soda and cream of tartar. All three (baking P. baking S. and cream of tartar) are used as leavening agents. Some recipes require more or less soda than a typical mix found in b. powder ...most recipes these days, use baking powder (in baking)
B.Soda is also a multi purpose thing....apart from its use in cooking n baking, it is used as a superb cleaning agent.
