i am taking an evening course in economics. i have an essay starting with “assess”-i think this means look at the arguments for and against the proposition.

what is the exact question?
On the outset... "assess" can entail a multitude of frameworks of inquiry that can be used to evaluate - qualitatively or quantitatively... a situation or scenario.
