its quite insensitive for pakistanis to paint all the mujahideen who took part in war against russian aggression as 'some problem' that was created by someone. It was their faith and brilliance that took them to that jihad. usa was okay with them fighting the war yet not okay with them gaining the control of coutnry they laid their lives for. shameful for muslims to be so callous with muslim sacrifices. what the hell is creation of taliban? they were regular muslims, who fought against an aggressor , now you have some trouble mongers amongst them but it would be quite silly to paint everyone with the same brush and adopt american line. right now they are demanding an islamic system, america should've no qualms about labelling their demand as barbaric and brutal but we pakistani muslims should think twice before we take that route. i suggest a book 'Yeh tairay Pur israr banday' by Mufti Rafi usmani who then took part in the jihad.
While we hear so many tactics employed by taliban i am very very skeptical of pakistani regime doing everything they can do in facilitating a truce to be drawn. They should simply employ their scholar and collaborate with taliban to come up with a shariah system. Shouldnt be trouble as most of the smujahideens were educated by these scholars. And lets not call people like ejaz ul haq scholars ,rather employ the genuine scholars and actually lilsten to what they suggest rather than using them to negotiate and then doing what ever the hell we please, as happened in lal masjid.
