Question: When you pray....?

When you pray for something and really want it to happen…but then your dua doesn’t get fulfilled (not saying gets wasted or anything but just that what you specifically want doesn’t seem to be happening)…does that mean you should give up on asking that dua and understand that its not meant to be and move on asking for something else or should you still continue asking for that one thing that you want really badly…even when you have a little voice inside you telling you its not going to happen…but then there is still some hope i.e confused feelings clashing within… what to do?

*And i am not saying that give up and all but like leave that one particular dua and move on to others…

Re: Question: When you pray....?

keep praying..and the best way to say it is that "ya Allah ager ye kaam(or watever wish) mere liay acha hai tou isko mere liay muqaddar ferma, mere liay aasaan bana aur ager ye mere liay acha nahi hai tou mujhay iss se door rakh aur mere liay bhalayi paida ker aur mujhay us per raazi aur mutmayin ker de"...

i think its a coherrent dua jis mai u dun have to give up till the last:)..hope it helps..

Re: Question: When you pray....?

I think you should continue making the dua, you never know which act of yours is liked while making the dua and the dua is accepted instantly.
Try to be humble in asking and tears always help.goodluck.

Praying adds to your actions, and make them align with Allah's will.

However if you don't act and don't fulfill the prerequisites for whatever you are doing, then prayers alone will not work. It shows Allah Mian that you are not serious about your objectives, and do not put 110% of your efforts, then why would He send the angels to help out a lazy bum (not that I am saying you are one).

Here are two examples.

  1. If you want to get first position in your class. But you eat, sleep and make marry, but do not study, and keep praying for first position. Then it won't happen. It means you are expecting Allah swt to bend His rules of fairness and help someone who is unwilling to get his @rse off the couch.

  2. A husband and wife keep on praying to have a child, but they do not make sure that the her egg and his sperm could meet (either in the womb or if medically necessary, in the test tube), thus unfulfilling the basic preconditions for making a a baby, then prayers won't help.

So the bottom line is:

  1. Act (upto 110% of your God given abilities)
  2. Pray

Then only then Allah swt may make your dreams come true.
However if even after acting AND praying the dreams are not met, then there must be Allah's will. And Allah surely have plans for the believers that are way beyond the limits of us the mere mortals.

May Allah make your dreams come true.

Ameen.

Re: Question: When you pray....?

^ That was a good way to explain, Thanks...but what if you do whatever is in your power to get what you want and at the same time pray and yet everything seems to go wrong then what should one do? isn't that like a sign that nothings going to happen in this case? then doesn't that mean that "that something" is no meant to be....its only reasonable and wise to let go of it completely and move on to something else but then again there is this little voice saying...hojayeh ga ya kya pata hojayeh, then what should one do? Its like the heart wants to continue because it has hope but the brain tells you to forget it and not waste your time/prayer on something that is not supposed to happen instead be wise and practical and pray for something else...

You're right about that but i guess when something is not meant to be it wont happen...and now i am at a point where i think its only wise to let this issue go to rest...its only this thing which still gives me hope that bothers me otherwise i am all willing to let this issue go.

I prayed for this one particular thing for the longest time if it had to happen it would have i guess but everything is going completely opposite of how i would have liked it to go so i guess its a sign...don't you think so?

well itz said k ager aap ki koi khawaish poori ho jaye tou aapko khush hona chiay k Allah ne aap ki dua sun li and ager aapki koi dua poori na ho tou aapko aur b zada khush hona chaiay k wo ho raha hai jis mai Allah ki marzi hai...:)

well i know ager aisa ho tou itz very disappointing for a time being but plz dun lose hope...ager u r not gettinh something u want then iss mai zarur kuch behtri ho gee...wat if aap ko aapki khawish haasil ho jaye lekin baad mai wo aap k liay acha na ho...so only Allah knows wats the best and best is in store for u InshAllah:)

Re: Question: When you pray…?

:salam:

I think Neha and Burqa closed the discussion here.

1 - Act
2 - Pray
3 - Either it happens, rejoice and give thanks to Allah SWT.
4 - If it doesn’t happen still rejoice for Allah SWT might have kept you away from some unbeknownst harm which you could not forsee. However keep trying and praying if you still believe its something that will benefit you (but not benefit against Allah SWT commands). Should your circumstances change where it may no longer be harmful for you in Allah SWT absolute knowledge, you might just get your wish.

Whats important is that you must understand what you are asking for is not contrary to Allah SWT commandments and you must have prepared for it as well. The rest is your muqaddar and Allah SWT will.
