Oh and secondly can someone also tell me if doing Masters from UK is better than US?!

Re: Question to Girls
i think it just depends on the level of university u attend! if the one in one country is better then the other then go for it!
choose uk aishaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :@:
Re: Question to Girls
i think its the same. uk or usa. both are internationally recognised. so dont worry........:}
Re: Question to Girls

Re: Question to Girls

Re: Question to Girls
OMG the only reason I opened this thread in the first place is that I got accepted to both Northwestern University Chicago and Warwick University UK and I have no idea where to go for Masters LOL.
Re: Question to Girls
research n the social life on each campus which ever ones best ;)
Re: Question to Girls
Yes but for me social life is not important on campus. I will be going for studies and returning back. Plus I am not in to the western social life. I will go to an odd Desi event or two but will not fully integrate to their way of life. I basically want to know which is better for education.
Re: Question to Girls
lol Lama
Aish- Northwestern University of Chicago, is very close to being ivy league, So i would pick that!! And i agree your going there to study and not party(sound like my dad
)but its true
Re: Question to Girls
Warwick is best in Midlands and 6th out of 122 UK universities. Now what?! ![]()
Re: Question to Girls
*how do they both rank on an international level, on one list? *
Re: Question to Girls
Actually I did not even do that. Let me research on that.
Re: Question to Girls
Guess what Northwestern ranks better than Warwick world university list wise. Out of 6600 Northwestern is 110.
Re: Question to Girls
well maybe this can be another factor in you picking!
btw I never congrated you:), mA' to youu !!!!!!!
Re: Question to Girls
Well true. I am in a lot of emotional stress these days about where to go. Lots of factors to decide! LOL thank you! :)
Re: Question to Girls
US universities are wayyyy superior to the ones in UK with regards to research work and facilities, faculties and resources and I think a little rigorous
Go for Northwestern, its really good.
If you had to choose between UK universities only, Warwick would've been good.
But do consider factors like, weather, the amenities of location in a big city, commute, cost of living, family and friends nearby in making your decision
Re: Question to Girls
I know someone who did a year away in another country - it was an amazing experience for her.
You can also do short trips for various projects. I went to Haiti for a week, and yeah it was 7 days, but it was 7 days that changed my life. I know others who have gone and done work in other countries for like a month - also very cool experiences.
Ladies, leave the nest. 'Tis healthy.
Re: Question to Girls
Better suited here.
Re: Question to Girls
Well basically in UK I do not have anyone even though I myself am a British citizen. USA I have my tayya abbu in Dallas which is not bad. I have A LOT OF FRIENDS in UK. I do not know that many people in USA. I think cost of living wise USA is cheaper. However if I get the British Citizen fees in university then it will be lower in UK. Weather, both places get cold but UK does not get very hot. Chicago weather is not that bad.
Right now USA looks very good for me.
Re: Question to Girls
Northwestern beats Warwick fair and square. That doesnt mean warwick is bad, but Northwestern is way better, no doubt. I would choose that, no doubt.
Chicago winters are cruel! It snows like anything. However, Chicago has a huge desi community, and you should feel right at home there. Geographically, Chicago is somewhat in the middle of the US, so you are equidistant from just about every where in the US.
However, since its primarily about academics, I would definitely recommend NWU. Good luck!
