has anyone applied for a uk settlement visa without changing their marital status on their NIC and passport, and gotten the visa without this objection?

it's necessary to get your marital status changed in the NADRA database for settlement visa ..otherwise the UK border agency doesnt consider the marriage valid. You don't need to change your maiden name but you should have husband's name on the NIC as well as passport. It also makes the whole processing smoother

i do have the nadra marriage certificate, they should be able to connect my NIC in their database through that unless they're total idiots!

hmm then in that case i dont think they should raise objection ..all the want is proof that the marriage is registered with NADRA
