I have been googling but nothing is satisfying me right now.
My question is…is it normal to have a period again the same month with the gap of about 20 days or so?
My mom says it happens.

Yah as far as i have heard, its ok as long as it doesnt happen every month! stress/weather/diet change r usually the key factors.
If i were you, i would def see a gyno for this just to be sure.

Appi it can happen. You have likely just ovulated earlier this month compared to your normal cycle length. As ZK has said it may be due to stress etc. no need to worry yourself, I wouldn't think you need to see a Dr unless you find that it is happening every month or if you are bleeding very heavily/ painful periods :-)

I am just completely drained of all energy.
The last time this happened was when my dad got really sick and I was under A LOT of stress. That was years ago and it never happened after that Alhumdulillah until now.
Its not super painful but there is no doubt it is a period because of the cramping and all that discomfort. I hope it will be over soon. I will see what happens next month and if it repeats…going to see a doc.

yep, I sometimes get it within 18 days.
Medically speaking, a normal cycle is from the range of 21 to 40 days. If it's more frequent than that, you may have polymenorrhea or metorrhagia based on regularity of the period.
If your period is regular, I dont think 20 days is something to worry about. However, if it's constantly irregular and/or associated with heavy flow, then you should get it checked out.

Question. When do u start counting the days? If I get it on the 20th of this month that lasts for 10 days ( till 30th) and I am going to have it on the 18th of the next month?.. Is it 18 days in between or 28?

My period is Alhumdulillah regular every month and on time...but never twice aside from one instance and that was years ago.

Okay so my last period was on the 7th of March (it usually lasts between 6-7 days) and then I got it again on the 27th of March. It was a whole week early I guess. The first one was normal (2-3 days heavy and 3-4 days light) but the last one was heavier and more painful. I was in bed for a whole day.
I am a bit stressed out now because of work I guess. But what does this mean? Every time I get stressed out I am gonna have two in a month?

Theyre just the terms used to describe irregular bleeding. But you don't have that, so I wouldn't worry if I was you. You have a normal cycle with normal flow.
It is quite common to see an irregularity in an otherwise constant cycle during times of stress. Some skip periods while others may get them more frequently or with increased flow. Its not something to be worried about unless it recurs too often. It's good that you're monitoring the timings of your periods. It's always healthy to be aware of your body and the changes it goes through in reaction to stress.

Appi metorrhagia is intra-menstrual bleeding (bleeding between periods) and poly-menorrhoea is when you regularly have periods more frequently than every 21days. Don't worry, just chill & relax :) InshaAllah they will settle themselves next month.

Yes, that happens to me every few months. No problems. Nothing to worry about.
