Question regarding cooking chocolate

I can not find sugar free cooking chocolate. So is the regular sugar free chocolate going to work?

Re: Question regarding cooking chocolate

yes, i never use cooking chocolate, tastes just as deliciouss..

Re: Question regarding cooking chocolate

You don’t have to use cooking chocolate…i always use dark chocolate with a decent amount of cocoa solids…then add sugar separately.

What are you making? :khumar:

Re: Question regarding cooking chocolate

I were to make chocolate mousse. Google search said i could use a certain proportion of cocoa and butter to replace cooking chocolate. I was skeptic though:@:

I came across this recipe that actually asks for milk chocolate. I used it and mousse turned out yummy.

mall, I made it in 6 inch baking pan. It turned out the same.

Granulated is regular sugar. Castor is powdered one.

Re: Question regarding cooking chocolate

I have the same delimma, I couldn't find good cooking chocolate, I went to a store that has ooty chocolates(a famous city for cocoa and chocalet) and got their finest dark chocolate, and the cookies and desserts tasted awesome. The only thing I changed in recipes was the amount of sugar, since the chocolate I have been buying is a bit sweet I adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.
