It actually helps during your period to work out.

I keep it limited to only stretches and very light exercise. Really helps with the cramps...
Assuming you already exercise on a regular basis, do you exercise during your periods?
I don't have stamina to do it on 1st and 2nd day but after that its fine.:)
hmm i wouldnt....
When i first started my periods i used to exercise normall....carry life on normally and my mum used to tell me off so much but did i listen? no...
So then i tore my womb :( not really badly but to an extent that it really affects me now and when i am on i get so much pain.
You are bleeding and your body is healing so i wouldnt stress it out even more by vigorous exercise.
I do still go for walks and maybe very very light yoga after the 4th-5th day but nothing before then.
Hmm...My BF is a dr. One of his friends who's also a dr.(OB/GYN to be more specific) was over earlier and I showed both of them what you wrote. Both told me they've never heard of a woman injuring her "womb" as a result of doing exercise during her period. Just what type of exercises were you doing and exactly what was the injury? Did your doctor actually tell you that the injury was a direct result of the exercise?
As for me, I don't change my routine at all. I meet with my trainer a few times every week....and I certainly don't tell him that I'm on my period...lol. So he puts me through our "usual" routines and I've never had a problem with them(my routine consists of a little cardio, and a lot of weight lifting/conditioning). As several others mentioned, exercise always gives me more energy. :)
