When a guy asks a girl what perfume shes wearing what does it mean?

Does he like her or is it as simple as he wants to buy the perfume for his wife/girlfrnd.

Would you ask someone you didnt know what perfume they were wearing?

If a guy asked me what perfume i was wearing i’d tell him and wait for his reaction…if he doesnt say anything and go “hmm ok” then i bet he doesnt like it or if he goes “oh cool :D” then he does

it just means that he wants to know the name of the perfume....it's as simple as that! :)

I wouldnt read too much into that.

ppl both males & females are always asking me which perfume I am wearing. & NOOOOO they are not intrested :) in me but only in the perfumes.

Like I had a dude ask me at a mall …and I told him and he said my so and so wears it…nothing to it..Smell is a powerful memory bringer something:cb:…
Now if the dude is smelling your hair and saying wat shampoo u r using…be warned…be very very warned..(I saw that in the TV:D:D

may be he likes the smell and wants to buy it for someone else
may be he hates it and wants to tell someone what ever you do just stay the heck away from it.

I find it hard to believe that Pakistani men ask their counterparts what perfume they are wearing.

As for others who ask, its a useless question.

Depends on the context...if its a random chick it will normally be said in a positive manner...it might be an icebreaker or it could simply be a show of appreciation...i doubt it would be negative if it was random...more likely harmless flirting...

If its someone you know it could be positive or negative and normally they will tell you so...

THere could be a few reasons:

Harmless flirting
Genuine appreciation for the scent
Curiosity, to find out to buy for significant other

Well actually it was a pakistani guy. he works in a meat shop I regularly go to and he was serving me and there was only one other customer in there. He asked me is that your perfume? Which one is it? and I sort of answered that I dont know I cant smell it. And he said again it’s nice which one is it and I said all I can smell is meat but its Tommy. So I didnt know whether to try and avoid the shop in future or what.

He was really nice though.
