so far from their discussions… sardars (rani in particular) have put down islam and muslims for how they treat women etc. yet are proud of whacking indira gandhi in her back.
now there are two things wrong with whacking indira gandhi…
a: first they did namak harami as they were on pay rolls of indira gandhi. even dogs are loyal if u feed them. yet sardars felt it was okay to take revenge from a woman who provided food for their families.
b: they also jeoperdized the only job sardars got. i.e body guards.
i dont understand what culture they are so proud of… shooting a woman in the back, is the most cowardly act. atleast muslim fighters are fighting the army head on in Kashmir.

As far as I am concerned, death of Indira was best thing to happen. she messed up with Assam, Punjab and Kashmir, three problems erupting simultaneously. In 84' kind of support Rajiv got has to with fact that indians felt that it was a critical period.
The only good thing Indira did was the planning and execution of 71' war. Pact with russia, a media blitzcrig in such a way that western media argued for India when western governments were sending navies in Indian ocean. She had a charm and charisma which took west by storm. Unlike Vajapayees of today, as far as foreign policy is concerned Indira was very clear and result oriented.
But she was a failure in domestic policies and economy. She wanted to rule everywhere. If she lived longer, it would have been disaster.

First of all I agree with zz. Secondly actions of one person deosn't constitute to be actions of all Sikhs. Recently one Muslim (Pakistani)couple killed their 6 year old daughter chopped up her remains and threw them in the park does that mean all muslims kill their children and chop them up.
Thirdly it was very ignorant of Indira Gandhi to depend on a Sikh body gaurd when she had ordered attack on Golden Temple.

u brought up the killing of indira gandhi as a high point in sikh history first. no one else did that. if u dont approve of those coward sardars who shot a woman in the back, while being her employees and degrading themselves to be lower than dogs..... then why bring it up?
indira gandhi wasnt ignorant... she must have laughed so hard after butchering hundreds of sardars who were hiding like chickens yet had them fooled by having them on her payroll. claims of secularism does fool many.
this act of backstabbing is I beleive a gift of hinduism, copied by sardars or just given to them in inheritence. We already agreed to the fact that the concepts of preaching to one god and equality were copied by sardars from Islam.
Conclusion: copy cats almost always lack intellect, imagination, foresight etc. and over the years result in dumb acts and ultimate stupidity. on the bright side of things atleast it has made u famous worldover.

You are right, Islam copied from Judism and Christainity concepts of Prophethood, One God and way to God only through the messager and day of judgement etc..., that is why you are soooo dumb and have all the traits mentioned in your note.

Copying wouldn't be the correct term here Rani. Continuation would be a better way of putting it.
And I thought sikhs also believe in one God? Does that make you copycats by your own definition? No. It brings you closer to the truth. Sikhs deserve credit for coming closer to islam in that respect :)

Indira Gandhi was, first & foremost, a leader and she was assasinated as a leader not as a woman; so, your logic in associating "shooting of a woman and being woman rights activist" is very convoluted.
