Those of us of Pakistani origin, I was just wondering where in Pakistan we traced our roots back to?
My family is from Jhelum. I was wondering who here is from Lahore or Karachi, or Islamabad, and would be able to give an insight into life in those cities.

most of the British-pakistanis come either from jehlum or mirpur, and no offense but that's why they haven't been able to progress much as a community.... they live in a world of their own that is full of hatred, leg-pulling,sarcasm and what not.

This faction creating is what hinders Pakistan. Plus, let us be honest, we are the most masculine of all the people in Pakistan*. (*Alongside Pathans). City boys from Lahore and Karachi just embarres the qaum, with there male beauty palors!

Hey taht is a totally unfair comment and very predjudiced:rolleyes: against an area most of my family are originally from Jhelum and surrounding areas and for generations have been very educated…
i don’t know whr u live in engalnd but i think the pakistani community generally comes from all over pakistan!!! n not just mirpur n jhelum…
