Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
^^^ 5) AJK has good numbers in army.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
This extemely difficult to tell. Only army can tell.
Mostly it is punjabi/pathan. Now sindhis are being recruited enmasse. Kashmiris are also there in substantial amount. Balochies can be counted on fingers i think. Even Baloch regiment units are seldom having a single baloch.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
I think Pakistan should create anoter Corps with 2-3 Divisions based in Gwadar which will be staffed with 51% Balochi Soldiers and run by 51% Balochi Generals.
I would say an Artillery Division, an Anti-AirCraft Division and a Infantry Division with Mechanized Infantry and a Company of Tanks should be good.
That should make Balochis feel more part of the Country.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
pak army's biggest composer are punjabis, followed by pashtuns, then muhajirs/sindhis, then kashmiris(northern ligh infantry is mostly made up of kashmiris), and then probably baloch.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
thats why we need more Balochis as part of our armed forces.
creating a new corps in Gwadar staffed by Balochis will make them feel part of Pakistan
I think Balochistan should be the focal point of all new economic development in Pakistan

balochistan represents just 2% of pakistan population.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
7,000,000 of which 75,000-80,000 can easily be recruited to form a New Corps in Gwadar.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
lol, ok pal
lets get this 'new corp' setup and trained
do you think a free baluchistan will do israel any favours?
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
^^ how the hell did Israel get into this?
With Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas and other threats I think Israel is really busy right now and why would Israel want to create another enemy with Pakistan by supporting these people?
This is nothing but a fantasy concoted by buffoons who blame all the problems of the Islamic World on Israel.
Maybe the fact that Balochistan is the most backward, least developed out of all provinces in Pakistan has something to do with the anger and not Israel

balochistan is not the most backward area of pakistan in any way.
a little reality for you. northern balochistan is inhabited by pathans, eastern by punjabis, quetta is a major pakistani city. this leaves a few villages whos loyalty lies with the 'potential income of gas and oil sales'.
an area with such small population doesnt deserve all development. that takes a baffoons brain for suggesting such a waste

if theres a need for specifically 80,000 baloch recruits(there isnt), and unity is the aim why not induct them into regular army?
these are your fantasies of inducting of what you think are potentially destabilising numbers of baloch nationalists.
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
^^ No its about showing the Baloch people they are part of our society.
In Canada, Natives do not pay taxes.
Recruiting 80,000 young baloch men to join the army to field a couple of new divisions is not a far fetched Idea. With high unemployment and great physical shape of most baloch people, this is a great idea.
We can kill two birds with one stone. One we can have a large military presence in the lawless area of Balochistan and two they will be 51% balochi and so won't be seen as outsiders
Re: Question for mercenary2k, %age of Jawan's in Pakistan Army?
Actually any force significantly being raised or posted at Gwadar (apart from Navy which has already been there) will most probably be the Pakistan Coast Guard, which has been a very sidelined force till now. The officers serving PCG are seconded from Navy and Army (not sure about PAF), the NCOs are usually direct recruits like it is for Pakistan Rangers. JCOs are a mixture.
With Gwadar developing fast, Pakistan's coastline being made more important and the developed stretch of our coast getting bigger, PCG should be given a serious overhaul.
Pakistan Army formally does not have regional regiments anymore like it was in the British era, the regiments do carry their heritage with pride but the Baloch regiment of today is not supposed to be a Baloch majority regiment. On the other hand paramilitary forces are based on the regional structure, like the FC, Dir Scouts, Khyber Rifles, and various others. But even their officers come from the Army without regional bias.
The Baloch people should be encouraged to join all forces, Army, Navy, PAF, Police, Rangers and other paramilitary as well as the Coast Guard. The coastal Baloch are sailors and fishermen, they are trained at the rough Arabian sea and develop strenght and well built bodies through excessive swimming in the sea. An avg coastal Baloch teenager has a quite impressive built body. Wide shouldered, trim and often above avg height.
If the PCG is restructured and the Baloch encouraged to join they may prove effective coastal soldiers, serving what may be native to them.
