Any guppies here from Slough, UK?. Do you know any one from Slough?. I wanna know about the town. For a pakistani boy like me what is there to do in the town?. How is the desi community there (in terms of population, income, status e.t.c). How are the white people? How would you compare it with other places in britain. I just wanna get a feel for how the place is.

My first girlfriend was from Slough. I used to pronounce it as Sluf and she would get mad. lol She had the most mesemrizing voice and a cute British accent.

slough has a large percentage of desis, I would say anywhere from 30-40% of the population is desi. It has a reputation fo being a very diverse place, and

be ready for slough stench though :slight_smile:

its a middle of the road sort of place from what I know. btw u can get from slough to west end within 45 mins on the tube.

I live near the place.

Lots of pakistanis and indians (sikh specially).

White people are alright abit racist but hey we take their jobs ;).

Tts abit of a low income area however if you have good qualification there are lots of jobs around the slough area. Infact i work about 10 mins drive from slough.

Any high asian area is abit run down (no offense) since they cant afford houses in 'posh' areas. on the plus side you dont have to travel 20 mins for halal meat.
