Here is the question:

Who ever told you guys that kite is used for a paicha to begin with? I don't know how they do things in your part of Punjab but here in Pakistan, we use kites for entirely different purposes.
Kites are used to be intentionally get stuck on your gawanDan's roof and then have her release it for you. You do it couple of times and then next time around you are all set to tie in a letter, ruqaa (or Iqbal's Jawab-e-Shikwa in Ahmadi's case) with the patang.
