do any of you know what can be a good substitute for a shampoo…i am sick of all the products that are out there and i am at a point where i CAN NOT trust any brands…
i know for conditioner one can use lemon juice or white vinegar and it gives me a perfect shine that i want.
I have very healthy/thick and long hair but I am starting to lose hair, I am at a point where I am scared to brush my hair cuz I am losing hair excessively also the water we use here is not doing any favours.
i wana switch back to homemade shampoos. I still remember mom use to put these amla stuff on my hair but dont know what other things she use to add. i asked her but she dont remember now.
do any of you know what are the other ingredients along with amla that is good for hair and especially for my problem
who can help me
Re: Question abt Hair
First advice i would give u would be to stop using the lemon/vinegar stuff on ur hair. this breaks down the outer layer that protects your hair, and short term gives u a shiny look but doesnt last.
when my hair started fallin i had iron deficiency, so maybe u have some kind of deficiency that is causing this.
I had this book once which was about Muhammed (pbuh) natural remedies they would recommend in those days and it may sound strange but for losing hair and to grow u hair it was recommended to rub honey into ur hair and scalp and then wash off. i started doing this years ago and ive got to say it amused everyone but it worked. my hair was shiny and bouncy and soon as u put hot water over ur hair, it slides off.
hope i cud help x
Re: Question abt Hair
Amla, Retha and sikakai have been used in home remedies for any kind of hair but I just don't know how to use them.

Red Ruby, how often are you supposed to put honey in your hair? And how long do you leave it in for?
Re: Question abt Hair
You might wanna see a doctor if your losing hair... it could be a sign of anemia or mal-nutrition.
