In traditional ghararas the shirts were a lot shorter. They just barely covered your behind. These were considered a bit risque because if/when you bent over, it would lift up and expose…but then again, grace demanded that you just don’t bend over like that and squat instead.

That’s true…but old fashioned farshi payjamas were cut with enough gher that it really didnt matter that the shirts were so short. They were probably even a lot looser and showed less shape than what people wear as lehengas today.
