No direct proof, but their silence on the matter is taken as tacit approval.

There is also NO proof whatsoever that the Islamists are in legue with Osama. They are simply considered guilty because they are Islamists.

there is proof that the US special forces are in the northern part of Somalia as part of helping the aid agencies.

American forces are present in Djibouti, and have sealed the ocean entrances to Somalia. Also, Israel and India are the main financial backers of Ethiopia, and supply arms. Whilst, Pakistan in the past has supported and armed Eritria.
