Question about Potato Cutlet

i made cutlets, and coated them only with breadcrumbs to fry 'em. hmm well … :daaghu1:… they taste good on the inside, but the crunch outside couldn’t keep its shape. i know that coating htem with beaten egg helps … but i’m making these for folks who can’t eat eggs. so, if i cant use a beaten egg to coat the cutlets…is there an alternative way of making the cutlet keep its round shape?

please help :flowers:

p.s - need help before the weekend!

Re: Question about Potato Cutlet

You can use milk instead of beaten egg. First coat the cultlets lightly with all purpose flour then milk then bread crumb.

Re: Question about Potato Cutlet

make a liquid mixture of all purpose flour just dip in it and fry.
but make thin layer of it

Re: Question about Potato Cutlet

Re: Question about Potato Cutlet

I dont use egg in my cooking either due to my daugthers allergy so I use Egg Substitue thats easily available from the health shop.

Does the job just like eggs would, i even bake cakes with it and they turn out perfect.
