So i do this Istikhara the way most people say it should be done and that is after Eshah prayer read 2 nafl namaz and then the Istikhara dua…and ask a question procedure…after doing the Istikhara i always try to sleep but i can’t most of the times but yes at that time i do have a good feeling about what i am asking…and feel the answer is positive but later on though i have a strong feeling towards that thing it seems to be going quite the other way round…not sure if its just in my mind or whatever but its like the more Istikhara i do for that certain issue the stronger my feelings get etc but no results as yet? am i doing something wrong or should i just be patient and see what happens?

From what I've read if you get a feeling about the matter it means Istikhara has served it's purpose, you don't necessarily have to see it in a dream.

Thats why i dont do this type of istekhara because its time taking and one doesnt know the perfect answer, you can do istekhara either by TASBIH or by QURAN.its quick and one knows the answer is yes or no

Yes i do get a feeling and its very strong but after that things don't normally go the way the feeling was so that's what bothers me...
teelo....
after reading the istekhara, pls choose the path you know to be right if Allah has made it well for your akhira and duniya you will see things turning out for the best... and if it is not meant for you then the halaat will start working out such.
It is not always about dreams or feelings....during RAsool Allah (SAW)'s time... sahaba used to read istekhara before doing any and all work or decisions. And they did it anytime nafl namaz is allowed. They went about doing their work according to their knowledge and decision if it was in their Haq... Allah made it easy for them if not then it was Allah's will and they were sabir and shakir
