Why was he afraid of snakes?
Tell me it was a learned behavior due to a traumatic experience with snakes from his past and tell me it did not have some psychoanalytical roots as in fear of sexuality and impotency or that the snake represented his shortcomings compared to his dad..

It was in one of the films ... something happened to him with snakes when he was a kid that made him scared of them.
I think the scene was at the start of Indiana Jones and last Crusade, but I'm not sure.
