my friend over this pansat receiver from ebay and he gets indian channels plus, american, pay per view etc
has anyone tried one of these? someone know how to progam one of these?

Its one of those free to air recievers. I think there pretty easy to program. Might want to check out www.sattech.ca in the forums. There is not point to them now tho since you can no longer reciever any of the channels that dishnetwork offers including those indian channels.

but i am in the US...my friend got this like 6 months ago and he was gettin the indian channels and pay per view ones..this receiver costs 150 bucks on ebay

it doesn't matter where you are. The indian and ppv channels have been moved to a whole new stream nagra2 and the rest will soon be moved also. That's why dishnetwork customers in the US had to get their yellow cards to be able to watch all the channels.
