What’s the ruling on burial, I know it’s suppose to be done within the compulsory time period, but let’s say it happens in the west and one wants to be buried in Pakistan? Obviously that would go against the time ruling? Any input on this would be great. Thank you.
I am not really sure what Islam says about it..but i know many times people send the dead bodies to pakistan and relatives burry them there..it happens alot so i guess there is nothing wrong with it
However, as is always the case, you'd find 'scholarly opinion' from the unreal to the absurd on the subject, but a little common sense dictates that the real constraint is the decomposition of a corpse. In some cases though it can be preserved in cold storage to meet travel schedules.
I don't think there is any "compulsory" time period for burial. You can do it pretty much anyway you find convenient (bury it rightaway or take it saat samandar paar). It is merely recommended to bury as soon as possible to avoid degeneration of the corpse. But it all depends on the wishes of the dead and his family.
