I am just curious to know how many here are actively boycotting products of companies that support Israel - doing so because you think it is your religious obligation.
If u do, what do ur family members/friends think/say about this.

Just curious, have you got that list ?
I think people who try, still end up inadevertently buying such goods, last time ( a few years ago ) I saw a list of companies that support Israel, it was quite long.

I was particularly surprised to see a Palestinian friend having McDonalods one day, as she is otherwise passionate about the cause. I asked her about it and she said: 'McDonalds have already made a loss this year, so why should I?'
If we knew how many companies REALLY belong on that list, we'd be pretty stuck.

This is got to be the silliest thing I've ever heard. Boycotting Israel is your religious obligation? The list itself is a half-ass attempt to link Israel with some of the greatest and biggest corporations. Jews invest in McDonalds, and I should boycott ****ty filet-o-fish? FC Arsenal sold a few billboards for Israeli tourism, and I should stop cheering them on? Oh common!
How is the state of Israel infringing on OUR religious rights by claiming territory in the Middle East? So what if Palestinian Arabs (Christians, Muslims, Atheists) cry every night? It doesnt make it a religious struggle. It's ethnic. If you're going to boycott Israeli goods based on principles, go right ahead but quit pulling the Islam card.
Since when has it become an Islamic obligation to stand up for Arabs? Your boycott has nothing to do with Islam. Rather, for some reason or another you have a fetish to brown nose them Palestinians.
Give me a call when they decide to help Kashmiris by boycotting India. Nincompoops.

Dont some of those companies have their plants/factories/offices in Pakistan itself???..and get some of their raw material as well from pakistan?..if you boycott it will hurt you only in the end!..

INTEL has a plant in Israel for making chips. AMD is doing business in Israel and last year won a huge PC tender deal with Israeli Government. As per one of their VPs: "AMD considers Israel as a center of knowledge and innovation, and we do consider making a strategic investment here".
So no PCs or laptops for anybody (at least those with Intel or AMD processors, which would be more than 95% of all the PCs and laptops). Get rid of them.

i agree with some ppl here that u can boycott companies on priciple but dont use religion as a reason for doing so. and y would u boycott multinational companies who are doing business all over the world. If you want to boycott, then boycott isreali companies. I mean uncle sam is waging war in and controlling more muslim countries, y dont u start from there if u'r gonna start boycotting companies for doing business in a perticular country.

As Ayatollah Sistani said “It is not permissible for a Muslim to buy products of the countries that are in a state of war with Islam and Muslims, eg. Israel.”
There are ppl who boycott because they follow such fatwas n feel they are obligated to do so because of religion.
And hskhan why should someone boycott milk esp. in Pakistan - there are so many alternatives. One should be more worried about the processors rather.

To the person who said that this is an ethnic problem in Israel, it is, but it is also a religious problem. If you have an Islamic name, they are known to deny you entry. That has nothing to do with ethnicity.

Why dont you guys boycott indian movies because they support the indian army which is opressing muslims in kashmir and a sworn enemy of Pakistan or will you only boycott stuff which doesn't effect you ?
