Queries about Marriage halls in Lahore

Hi Folks,

I am trying to book marriage hall for Walima in lahore. After some research work, i shortlisted four and going to pick one: PC, Avari, Holiday Inn and Liberty Castle. My questions are:

  1. I believe these all are high-grade but still which one you would advise and why?
  2. All have varieties in their menus for chicken/mutton though its called one dish, i am confused which one to select.
  3. These 4/5 star hotels charge 10% extra withholding tax on total event cost that will be adjusted in tax returns later for tax payers as stated by Hotel representative. Question is if someone live/work abroad and pay taxes in resident country, not in pakistan how that 10% will be adjusted.
  4. Are their menu prices negotiable? If yes, to what extend?

according to my experience in this field.
Lets make a list according to quality of Food.
1: Liberty Castle
2: Holiday Inn
3: Avari
4: PC

believe me PC have worst among all.
with all that qasr-e-noor
Zafar Marquees
and Royal Palm are also good option.

The PC have fix rates for their one dish, additional are negotiable.
rest of them are negotiable to a minor extant specially Liberty Castle and Holidy Inn.

Now if We talk about 10% tax. make sure that will they provide you a tax-paid certificate so you can show this to authorities for adjusting tax.
If yes then you have to pay. otherwise tax amount is filling their own pocket you need to negotiate on that factor.

Would you like to try Bahria Towm's !
Food is being provided by Zafar Sons rest managed by Bahria's Banquet Office.
and except negotiation a reference can work their.
Every time we worked their customer's were quiet positive about them.

Thank you so much Saad for your input. Regarding tax, my concern is I live abroad and pay taxes in my resident country. I dont have NTN and pay any income tax in pak so how that 10% withholding Tax will adjusted for me?

What are these additional things that can be negotiable ? you means hall charges etc?

in-case if you add one extra dish.
Well if you have that much budget i'll suggest Bahria Grand or, Liberty Castle instead of PC

You are welcome brother, anyhow if you need any reference for halls send me a PM. i am thinking to write about how we can cut cost while negotiation with Halls.
