Panoramic image - taken in 2003(?) or 2004(?) with my Canon A70
I cropped 1/4th of it from the left side. Too many people there. I thought it looked better without them. I placed my camera on the wooden beam you see in the pic, and rotated the camera (didn’t have a camera stand with me at the time)
Upload isn't working for the time being. You would have to email the pictures at [email="[email protected]"][email protected] and then someone will upload it for you and send you back the thumbnails and you can then post them here.
I read the instructions. Wasn’t really in the mood to send it out. But I guess I’ll do it. How come you guys don’t allow linking images from say imageshack.us?
Well, I’m guessing any half decent digital camera will have a ‘stitch mode’
when you take one pic with a stitch mode, it shows a partial pic on the lcd screen, and lets you align the next shot. when you take the 2nd shot, it’ll show a partial 2nd shot, to align with the 3rd shot, and so on.
now, my camera came with an app that auto stitches the pictures. You just tell it the order of the images (maybe it does it automatically), and it’ll merge the images for you.
if you’re good with photoshop, you can use that as well, but it’ll take longer.
as for the number of pics, its up to you. how many you want. the original panoramic image has like 7-8 images. the pic i posted aboive has like 5-6.
I love to visit both Montreal and Quebec city. Prolly next summer I will be there. Please do let me know the famous places to goto, attractions and how many days one will need to visit both cities if coming from TO.
If you’re gonna drive all the the way till quebec city, why stop there. Go further up the St-Laurent to Taddousac for whale watching. The pic i posted was from the trip back from taddousac. We took a whale watching cruise (was fun), and at night saw the northern lights , and solar flares/winds (don’t know what the correct term for that is). I liked that stuff better than the whales…
I’ll post some more panoramas pics when I get back home. I took a few more.
