Capello if ya watching, Mueller's scored 4 goals in this WC and tonite was only his 7th cap, be bold and give youth a chance in the coming qualifiers.
For me where it was won, was in midifeld, the german quartet were a wall which starved argies 3 forwards of any service.

Germany amazing! Lets not forget they are a tournament team like Australia in cricket. They were below par in euro 2008 yet reached the final and in this one they are just sublime :k:
I think its unfair to compare Argentina and Brazil just because they are south americans. They have grown in totally different directions. Brazil has top class defenders and they are very pragmatic in their approach under Dunga.
While Argentinian defenders are shambles but they like to keep the flair going.

He should have known that Germans will launch counter-attacks and should have gone with more a defensive team against the Germans and should have grinded out the match instead of going with a heavy attack which stalled in the German defense and which left huge gaps in the Argentina lines which the Germans ran wild....
This has to be the most humiliating defeat in Argentina's history

So all of a sudden european teams making on big days.. 2 already there. lets see 3rd one can make or not
These South American teams Brazil and Argentina have a lot of skill and flair but defensively they are not as good as some of the european teams notably Germany. You would almost never see a German player concede an own goal
And I dare say the same thing applies in hockey. Pakistan even when they dominated world hockey in the 70s and 80s were never defensively as good as the Germans and Dutch back then

Oh you are absolutely right about Brazilian defenders being better than the Argentinians but Brazil did concede an own goal against Holland in such a crucial match yesterday.

The moral of the story today is:
NEVER DISCOUNT THE GERMANS IN FOOTBALL AND THE AUSTRALIANS IN CRICKET. These two are amongst the most disciplined and professional sporting nations. They just never give up and keep coming at you.

The word mercurial was coined for Pakistan cricketers. Brilliant, self destructive, frequently imaginative and never predictable.
We lack consistency for sure bur noone w'd ever accuse Pakistan of playing boring cricket

If they come for the finals and play against Germany or Spain..I’d still support the opposite team..not the oranges!

Just when you though that teams like Argentina and Brazil would bring their A game they play horribly. Very disappointing.
