When I watched the program on NOVA/PBS on Quantum Leap the first time, I was totally mesmerized. It’s a weird yet astonishing to learn about the Quantum physics where existence of object is irrelevant of time and space.

Well Schrodinger was an opium addict, and some people think he was high when he came up with his equation, so you never know. Quantum physics make no sense in our world, hence the joke about Schrodinger's cat.

Yes in our macro world, it makes no sense, but at micro level, everything is governed by quantum physics.
