My bad, I shouldn’t have said ‘seminaries’ its just one seminary which in fact is the Hawza Ilmiya Zainabia, established in medieval Syria surrounding the Shrine of Seyyida Zainab! Google would be much better in providing you an in-depth answer as to the difference between a Hawza and a regular madressah however, from what I understand they are research Universities where people are encouraged to go after acquiring there high school Diploma’s and undergrad degrees. Hauza’s aren’t found in every corner of every Muslim country because they are associated only with Shia Islam! And yes Hawza’s are accredited but more than that respected in the world of Shia Islam.
