Just hearing 4rm cuzns using the net on their phone their has been a strong quake around 6.7 on the scale !!!

ISLAMABAD: Strong jolts of earthquake have been felt in parts of Punjab and NWFP.
According to Geo News, strong jolts of earthquake have been felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mansehra, Peshawar, Khyber Agency and other adjacent areas at 01:53 AM.
According to Met office Islamabad, intensity of earthquake has been registered 6.5 on the Richter scale.
No damage has yet been reported, however tremors spread panic in the public and a large number of people have come out of their houses.
According to sources an aftershock measuring 6.0 on Richter scale has been forecasted within next hour.
October seems to be Earthquake season in Pakistan.......Pakistan lies in a high seismic activity area**
..........this is the third major quake in the past 5 years in October !***

Just Talked to Family and they say it was quite a jolt and aftershocks were felt for quite sometime.......so far how much damage has been done is not clear !

It was scary, the house started shaking and then there was an aftershock after approx half an hour. No damages done, or not that i heard off

I know, I'm so depressed.
Dear God please protect my homeland.
The places I have so many childhood memories associated with are being blown up, I love Islamabad and Peshawar, my favouritest place, I have so many memories of chilling there with my mates and cousins, the food, the awaragardi on the streets, i miss it teribly, i get so naustalgic thinking about it, I get so scared incase its never the same again..
Swat is burning, such a beautiful place, so many family picnics there...
Our home is up in flames and all we can do is watch on helplessly.
War is terrible. I miss the times before Sept. 11. I remember when it happened, I was a kid and somebody on here said everything will be back to normal soon but it's not it's getting worse n worse.
When these things were happening in Iraq I'd think 'God it must be awful having to live in constant fear' and now our own towns and cities are being destroyed.
I get sooo depressed sometimes, Allah knows what the future holds for us, Islamophobia is increasing day by day in the west and our country of origin is being blasted to bits... Where do we go?
