Quaid's Day : December 25 - Quaid ka Pakistan - Your Contribution

If Quaid was alive today (we so need him as a great and ultimate leader of the nation), as Father of the Nation,** how would he see Pakistan at the moment**?

Mohammed Ali Jinnah is and was an immaculate role model for current generation of Pakistanis, and as such, we must look towards his career and his personal qualities, which enabled Muslims in the Indian sub continent to obtain a prized free country.

Given that we are not blessed with his presence, today and utterly miss leadership of his steller qualities, what do you believe, will be the policies in directing the future of the Nation state, which Quaid will be able to condone?

An example may be:

*Quaid always encouraged ‘**work, work and work’ & believed in Unity, Faith & Discipline. *

Logically, it would pain him to see how the nation is divided among classes and creeds and how paranoia and propaganda is eating away at the peace and stability of the nation, so what would he require the people of the nation to do, in order to reclaim the sovereignty of the nation state and not let it fall prey to malicious internal anarchy and international exploitations?

This is a humble tribute to Quaid and his memory at a time when Pakistanis need it the most.

Please share, serious comments on this.

Re: Quaid's Day : December 25 - Quaid ka Pakistan - Your Contribution

No one is perfect and I dont want this to be taken as criticism on Mohammed Ali Jinnah, but this is what I think sometimes.

A leader does not become a leader because he has followers, true leadership comes from how many leaders you can produce. Prophet Mohammed is one solid example. After him, Khulfa'e'rashideen, other sahaba, then many others kept Islam intact at its very basic and took the expansion of islamic kingdom to the next level.

Why Quaid-e-Azam failed to do that? Why he could not produce a leader like him who could pick up and continue. Or did he produce one (or many) and just the coincidence that those leaderships died down even before they could flourish.

Liaquat Ali, Fatima Jinaah, Abdul Rab Nisthar .. no one could replace him properly

Good observation… and a good direction of thoughts…

But can we even think of comparing anyone with Prophet:saw2:?

I think we would be doing same as comparing apple with oranges…

Prophet:saw2: had a followers of 1,24000 who were in direct contact and under his direct teachings of the Prophet:saw2:…

The status of Sahaaba can not be compared with common man as well…

Having said that, even the time of Sydena Ali :razi: saw extreme difficulties…

Imam Hussain :razi: got martyred in the time of ultimate Malookiyat…

Let’s leave that on the side…

Think how many followers were there who were with Quaid shoulder to shoulder?

You mentioned three… let’s make them 20 or 25 hypothetically…

How much time were they given… Did any one ruled the country long enough… Sydena Umar:razi: reign was almost over a decaded (if I remember correctly) …

The point being that, every single sahaabi was capable of becoming a leader because Prophet:saw2: guided them…

In case of our nation, it was a follower for the most part… leader did not have time more than a year to actually groom someone…

Leaders are born - not handcrafted.

No you are right AQ. one cannot compare anyone with Prophet Mohammed :saw2:.

and Ali :razi: did see hardship but that did not affect his leadership. Leadership is not a bed of roses, right?

I respectfully disagree that leaders are born. Leadership is not a talent that you can be born with, its a skill that is developed.

Pakistan independence was not a destination, it was a milestone of a continuous journey, a major milestone but of a journey that started long time ago. Ample time for leaders to be created.

Re: Quaid's Day : December 25 - Quaid ka Pakistan - Your Contribution

I humbly disagree if the skills can be developed... either you have the skill or you do not...

Grooming is one thing... If you get to know yourself more, get circumstances or perhaps a better guidance, you can develop skills but if you aint have it, you aint have it...

It's the same case as some people are good at one subject but not as good as others in another... sometimes, even if they try they can not match others....

Chaman maiN deedaawar pedaa hotaa hai, pedaa kiyaa naheeN jaataa ...

But I think we are deviating from the points asked at the very end of the first post.

Well said.

So what can we do. Pakistan was born based on the concept of two nation theory. The common grounds of separate nation was not being Panjabi or Sindhi. Not even Shia or Sunni, or Deobandi or Barelvi. It was being a Muslim. We need to go back to that basic. Need to figure out the root cause of this separate country that we so lovingly call Pakistan and stick to that.

Pakistan ka matlab kiya
La'ilhaa illal lah

its no longer a practice of us, its only a cute chant in some islamic rallies and that is it.

If we look at our attitude as society, our media, the fashion craze, the show business fascination, we can easily figure out how far we are from that slogan that I quoted above ..

TLK bhai & AQ,
i thought no one will show up to this thread. so, thanks for writing on it.
i feel that there is a lot more to unpack than to evaluate who contributed what, in the continua of history, not of Islam alone, but of the ethnographical and geographical evolution of a Muslim state in south Asia.
who is to say, that tomorrow, another Jinnah may not be born?
what if, his ways are a lot more sagacious for any one of us to ever be able to comprehend.
it takes one person to motivate many, when a revolution takes place where people who pursue such a structured effort, put their heart and soul into such an effort.
also, since the conceptual basis of Pakistan are faith plus independence for majority Muslims in the sub continent, the crux of the matter is who will direct the future, if we do not see the importance of looking towards the lessons and lesson creators from our very own history as Pakistani.
thoughts?

Re: Quaid's Day : December 25 - Quaid ka Pakistan - Your Contribution

the great leader with a wide vision left after gifting us with the precious earned asset and we are bewildered as what to do with this land? as we did not even wake for a single night. how can we realize the importance of this land as we were not the ones who eagerly presented our blood in its way. we are doing what we can do as outsiders and that is CRITICISING. i would request that please if we can't do anything at least we can boast up the morale of our country or the people who are doing some good. as someone rightly said that it is the words which either make up or pull down any person city or state. i request all pakistanis to stop saying bad about pakistan and shoould try to bcum the model of a true pakistan and display it to those who say terrorist to pakistan.

Re: Quaid's Day : December 25 - Quaid ka Pakistan - Your Contribution

shawiz,
thanks for the perspective you shared above.
the need of the hour is to protect Pakistan.
indian force and any manipulative international alliance, is simply out to get Pakistan.
a self determined Muslim nation has always been a cause for concern for the manipulative and monopolistic nations in the world.
what Pakistanis need is to be a loud and clear message of peace, but be united in case that anyone nation or a group of govt and nations, attempt to destroy the nation.
massive force means one on one fight.
that is what the machine-dependent enemies cannot afford to engage in.
without killing machines, the so called forces are nothing. the ideology of kill to conquer has to be changed.
there are motives that are ignoble and then, there are dead-conscience-bearing cruel minds who will get caught in their own schemes, sooner than later.
for now, Pakistan and any Muslim individual and nations, Muslim states and their govts must be on alert to face just about anything coming their way.
it will be and is up to the people of Pakistan and Muslims in other countries, to protect their identity and teach the world, equality and fairness rather than give in to the threats, manipulation and exploitation.
that at best, can be called, a test of resilience and a call from God to pay attention to keeping our house in order, so that no one can do this to it, as is being done, at the moment.
