The Italians are coming off probably their weakest showing of the tournament, but you have to believe that sooner or later Luca Toni is just going to erupt for a few goals.
Ukraine played well defensively against Swiss, but that game against the Swiss was just plain ugly to watch. Also, Ukraine’s last three matches haven’t exactly been against top-notch forwards (with the possible exception of Frei). I don’t think the Italians pick apart the Ukraine quite like Spain did but a 2-0 score in favor of Italians wouldn’t surprise me.
This is definetely the most boring quarter final. I love to have seen one of the African teams reaching this far - this wasn't to be as the earlier group draws didn't help.
yes, what says excitement more than players putting forth oscar worthy performace of diving and dropping back 11 behind the ball as soon as they score a goal. Hell, italy drops back 11 behind the ball even when they don’t have the lead.
