Qitaal in islam

What do you people think about ayat e qitaal in quraan, there is marked difference between english and urdu translations.

For e.g
كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْه ٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئا ً وَهُوَ خَيْر ٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئا ً وَهُوَ شَرّ ٌ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
002.216YUSUFALI: Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.
PICKTHAL: Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not.
SHAKIR: Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know

The actual ayat is

Kutiba Alaykum Al-Qitālu Wa Huwa Kurhun Lakum Wa Asá 'An Takrahū Shay’āan Wa Huwa Khayrun Lakum Wa Asaá 'An Tuĥibbū Shay'āan Wa Huwa Sharrun Lakum Wa Allāhu Yalamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna (Al-Baqarah: 216)](http://transliteration.org/quran/WebSite_CD/Sound/0022161.mp3).

All famous urdu translators have used the word qitaal in translation unlike english translators who used fighting instead of killing.

How many of you are willing to participate / perform this obligation(according to islamic rulings offcourse by not killing innocent in jihad etc) ,?

This i am asking as many muslims now have this wrong belief that religion of peace means no fighting.

Wasalam

Re: Qitaal in islam

Fighting is made mandatory for you, but you dislike it. You may not like something which, in fact, is for your good and something that you may love, in fact, may be evil. God knows, but you do not know. (2:216) (Muhammad), they ask you about fighting in the sacred month. Tell them that it is a great sin. However, creating an obstacle in the way of God, disbelief in Him and the Sacred Mosque, and driving away the neighbors of the Sacred Mosque is an even greater sin in the sight of God: Disbelief in God is worse than committing murder. (The pagans) still try to fight you to make you give up your religion. The deeds in this life of those of you who give up their religion and who die disbelievers will be made void and in the life hereafter. These people will be the dwellers of Hell wherein they will remain forever. (2:217) ...

I am giving you two hints ..
1) br bao bihari plz give complete 216 and 217 arabic translitration
what you find meaning of word qitaal in arbic dictionary. Qur’an explicitly uses the word Harb for a battle and *Qital *is used to refer to combat and war.)

The word used to describe WAR in the Qur’an and the authentic sayings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh is QITAL or FIGHTING, or *JIHAD which means to strive or struggle in the way of Allah. *
