Qistwaar Novels

Re: Qistwaar Novels

But Razia Butt was not a bad writer. Her novels were portrayal of Muslim women of sub-continent wit filmi touch. She portrayed partition quite well in her novel ‘Bano’.

One more thing to add that all these digest writers and their novels failed to give Urdu literature representative characters. One reason for this is extra fantasy, which is present in almost all writers’ works, be it Umera Ahmed, Farhat Ishtiyaq, Sarwat Nazeer, Faiza Iftikhar..

Re: Qistwaar Novels

wo to commercial reasons hain na, usko phailany ki 13 ya 25 episodes tak … I am not in favour of dramatisation of novels.

main nay shayed sirf zindagi gulzar hy dekha … wo bhi is liye that I have nothing else to watch.

baki … if u will read her very first stories … u would be really surprised. waqt k sath unkay qalam main kafi nikhar aaya.

jahan tak baat rahi … peer e kamil ki … to date it is considered to be her master piece …

pta nai kiun … I am going in defensive mode … bas kro GS k danishwaro :bummer:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

jab tak Umera ki bas nahin hogi.. hum bus nahin karen gi :hbk: (j/k)

She is good dialogue writer BTW :k:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

lols. chal ren de.. take a thanda glass of water and then we can have a heated debate again :D

Re: Qistwaar Novels

I did read Humshakal Humraz, Three Musketeers in monthly installments…Count of Monte Christo read in the form of book.

Besides that… There was a story “Rishton ki Zanjeerain” in daily Jang… read on daily basis and that novel ended after few months…
"
I am missing few more novels of Naunihal… Cannot remember the name :bummer:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

Daily Jang used to have qistwar novels?

Yes, I remember that ‘Three bandooqchi’ translation of Three Musketeers. It was boring one. Before that they had translated ‘Oliver Twist’ in naunehaal . I found it in old issues of the monthly, but didn’t read that. There was also a very very boring novel ‘Heidi’ in naunehaal, story of a Swiss girl. I also like ‘Chalak Khargosh ke kaarname’ :hehe:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

Most of the novels were translated by Masood Ahmed Barkati…

Yeah… that particular novel used to publish daily from Monday to Friday in second page of Jang Karachi… I think.. it was only for experiment purpose…

“Rishton ki Zanjeerain”

Re: Qistwaar Novels

have you also read some qistwar novel from Akhar e jahan or Khawateen digest?

Re: Qistwaar Novels

Anyone who followed novel ‘Devta’ in Jasoosi Digest? :sadaf:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

No… I am not fan of Akbar e Jehan… reason it never attracted me… I read only few stories of Teen Mard or Teen Aurtaian Teen khaniaynn…

Khawateen digest: I read very few non qistwar kahaniyan… again I did not find anything good… Those stories were highly designed for women audience and most things were fantasy…

I only read jokes… which are usually placed at the end of few novels… :hehe:

After matric… I had plenty of time… I used to rent Imran Series (Mazhar Kaleem) jasosi novel…

Re: Qistwaar Novels

as fas as I remember Devta used to be published in suspence.

I think I like “maut k sodagar” more than Devta.

Re: Qistwaar Novels

I was also not sure about the magazines in which it publishes. There was a time, when all these mystery magazine, jasoosi digest, Suspense and Sarguzasht used to be in our home every month… but now only Sarguzasht remained intact. baqi kachra saaf :mop:

Re: Qistwaar Novels

i used to read hamdard nounehaal stories, never read any other novel in parts, have read full novels of many big and acclaimed writers.....

Re: Qistwaar Novels

In other words, you want to say that big and acclaimed writers don't write in digests :p

Re: Qistwaar Novels

This is my feeling... only cheap writer....write in pakeeza, dosheeza and khawateen...

Re: Qistwaar Novels

What do you mean by cheap? :emmy: digests might be paying handsome amount to them.. Otherwise, they have not been writing for digest after establishing their name in TV.

Re: Qistwaar Novels

they wrote but i didn't read in digest bcoz digest 80-90% belongs to cheap writers....

Re: Qistwaar Novels

again the term ‘cheap’ :pullhair:

Now you people once and for all explain this term ‘cheap writer’.. Do they write something against social norms? Bos o kinaar and all that?

Re: Qistwaar Novels

here my meaning of cheap is third class…
