You may not agree but when you write in such quantity, you lost originality as well as quality in your work. Moreover, a writer starts repeating himself / herself, when they write non-stop. Many of Umera Ahmed’s readers say this. Peer e Kamil was a good work (though I have some reservations about the controversial topic covered in fiction), but afterwards Umera kept on repeating herself. specially the story telling in flash backs. That was in La-hasil, Meri zaat Zara e be-nishan, the novel on which drama ‘Maat’ was based, Peer e Kamil… all follow same technique of jumping between present and past and the recent one ‘Aks’ is a pinnacle of this technique ![]()
