Qibla-e-Rukh????

Salam all

Ok my question is that if you are at a certain place and you cant find the qibla-e-rukh for namaz at all then is it ok to read the namaz facing any side?

Plus should one only take this step i.e. reading the namaz facing any side-once they have totally confirmed and still cant find the qibla-e-rukh?

Thank you all.

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

It's not hard to find the Qiblah, but the idea is to make your best judgement and then pray with the intent.

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

**YES, if u can NOT ascertain the ruKh-e-Qibla, u can pray facing any direction. Since train and planes MAY change their directions so if u traveling in any of those modes of transportation you are allowed to pray facing any direction...[of course, u start praying facing the Qibla if u can ascertain the direction but you don't have to keep changing your directions if the train or plane changes it's direction]...

...Islam is a very practical religion...so, Allah accepts and allows any infractions in times of acute need. **

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

Peace! in addition to above post i'll quote only these hadiths

Book 'Shortening the Prayers (At-Taqseer)' of Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 199, 203 & 204.

*Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah, The Prophet used to offer the Nawafil, while riding, facing a direction other than that of the Qibla. *
**
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah The Prophet used to pray (the Nawafil) on his Mount facing east and whenever he wanted to offer the compulsory prayer, he used to dismount and face the Qibla. **

*Narrated Anas bin Sirin: We went to receive Anas bin Malik when he returned from Sham and met him at a place called 'Ain-at-Tamr. I saw him praying riding the donkey, with his face to this direction, i.e. to the left of the Qibla. I said to him, "I have seen you offering the prayer in a direction other than that of the Qibla." He replied, "If I had not seen Allah's Apostle doing it, I would not have done it." *

Also about the direction of Qibla, it is mentioned in Qur'an Surah Baqarah verses No. 144 & 149.

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

thanks for the hadees lethal.

i think this hadees explains it really well that one can read in the other direction of qibla. ofcourse its not a choice but only when they cant find the qibla-e-rukh.

Re: Qibla-e-Rukh????

Peace blessed2006!

All hadiths indicates that in case u r on any mount i.e. travelling in plane, train bus etc then u can pray in any direction. I think today, we have lot of technologies from which we can benefit like getting correct direction of Qibla as well timing of Azan. These software are available for cell phone too which indicates correct direction of Qibla + Azan timings.

Moreover these software are free of cost if we would like to install. Even though if we buy it by paying an amount, its not more then worthy to those things which we buy for the purpose of living in this world.
