Qibla Direction [Split discussion]

All this to somehow face a black stone? sounds idolatry doesn’t it? Did Allah or koran give a reason why you should face a particular way? (I kinda know the Hindu logic for various directions but all of them involve concepts that are very Hindi and don’t think will apply in your case)

Does Allah need to give a reason? Do you give a reason to your car why you want to go somewhere?

Car is at the expense of the owner. Likewise, human beings are at the expense of Allah. It is Allah's love and mercy on us that He provides us with everything we need. But, we are His creations. Being a Creator, He has full athourity to do with us whatever He likes. However, it is not His Sunnah to do that. He has created us and He loves us more than we do ourselves.

Thats why it shouldn't be surprising when some of us attempt to be obedient and loyal to Him in return. We cannot do justice at repaying to Allah for His blessings on us, but trying to being obedient and loyal is the most we can do. Is there anything wrong with submitting to your Creator?

Yes Allah needs to give a reason if he said that. And if he views people as cars that further adds to my question about why wouldn't he want people to use their brains.

A car is a machine with no heart brian or feelings. It can kill its own craetor if mishandled. I don't think you want that analogy between man and Allah do you? Try again

what will it take to convince u ppl that no muslim prays facing THE BLACK STONE....
the black stone that u ppl always keep refering to has no significance in one's prayer or belief....

yes, Quran does give a reason why we shud face the Qibla....
not only does it give the reason to face a Qibla, but it also gives reason as to why the old Qibla (i.e. Bait-al-Maqdas) was changed to the new one (i.e. Bait-al-haraam)....

:k: Ditttto ..with triple T.

Why would you 'knowingly' make a statement that is,Incorrect and absurd, if you are trying to mock islam, and raise doubts in our minds, well your attempt is at the best rather feeble,
If you expect any good responses, you need to have a genuine query, asked in a polite and mature manner, the style of response you get , depends in what fashion you ask for one.
Your hindu (idolatry) logic and point of view, maybe intersting and are welcome to debate, however they do not apply here.like you said yourself. thank you.

I look foward to your thread about the hindu religion, and I assure you I will not make a mockery.

Brothers armughal, ak47 ... well said.

^^
Thank you, ramyssysIX I found your contribution intersesting too.

Thank you 'tomsawyer' too, for your post, you seem to have alot of intellect, however (my opinion) you're not increasing your minds power
of reasoning and acquiring knowledge, regardless off wich path you tread, just dont try to hinder us on ours, at the end of the day corresponding to your inital post, only strengthend my conviction.

^ alright guys and dolls - apart from mildly shaming me, does it occur to you that my question is based on genuine curiosity about seeming contradiction(s) rather than the stereotypical Islam bashing? I grant it some of my tone can be mis-interpreted and I correct it as soon as it's pointed out.

The other problem, probably the worse culprit, is that the mods go interpret an arguement in an incosistent and arbitrary manner many a times and end up hacking the discussion. When they remove words and sentences this way, what's left is useless.

^^

I'm pleased to read the first part of your post, and sorry I did not set out to shame you.

...as for the secound part.

You are suggesting the blame for the 'lack of tact' in your posts, rests on the shoulders of the mods? ...I make no comment.
