hi , i am travelling to qatar soon for holidays and was wondering wht clothes to take for my short stay , shall i take jeans or trousers or go with shalwar kameez instead . any idea girlz, plz help.
Re: qatar dress code?
Qatar is quite liberal, somewhat like UAE so you can wear anything you want within reason. You'll see expats and foreigners wearing skirts/shorts and you'll see desis in their regular shalwar kameez/saris etc. So just take what you normally wear. You don't have to wear a hijab if you don't wear it. People do wear abayas and hijabs but they are mostly the Qataris or other Arabs themselves.

thanku for your help m_was_here
Re: qatar dress code?
They appreciate & respect those ladies, who cover their bodies.
qatar dress code?
Do cover yourself though or the Arabs will just stare. -__-
Re: qatar dress code?
Yup, and nothing too obnoxiously colored because amongst the Gulf countries like Saudi, Qatar, Oman, etc they, Arab women, don't like seeing obnoxious colored abays and prefer the black ones. I remember reading a Saudi girl's blog and she wore a light blue abaya in Saudi once and got comments from angry Arab women for "wanting attention". Odd but maybe it only applied to locals? Not sure.

man you could be a proper ninja.. if a man wants to stare.. stare he will . probably have vivid fantasies or runaway imaginations.
