Re: Qatar: Al Khor
Coolmunda i live in Al-Khore . . Its a small city with nothing special to mention about .. Its an OK kind of a place. Yes there is a large subcontinent population but most of them are workers in Ras Laffan Industrial Area. It is approximately 40/45 KM from Doha. Doha is basically the main city where you might find some attractions where as Alkhore is just OK. There are small shopping malls but nothing like Doha.
After getting Fifa World Cup 2022 the scenario might change a lot for Al-khore because many things are planned for it. A full fledge brach of Lulu Hyper is under construction as well. But right now its OK kind of city.
Re: Qatar: Al Khor
what about Al Khor Community- i've seen a job which i'm considering to apply. The accomodation is in Al Khor Community. What is it like expense wise in al-khor? I'm not sure, what do u think Qatar, Kuwait or UAE -job opps keep coming up for all three
Re: Qatar: Al Khor
Alkhore community is a good place to live. Accommodation is the most expensive part but if it is provided by company then it will help a lot. Living with a family can be really expensive here. But it all depends what kind of salary package they are offering you. To settle here with a family I think a minimum salary should be 6000 QAR.
Re: Qatar: Al Khor
^ they’re offering around 12,000 per month, free accomodation, utilities paid etc however the bad thing is that the work place itself is a nightmare. Thanks for the info, I don’t think i’ll be applying.

Re: Qatar: Al Khor
Wow its a great offer . . .
Well the work places here are quite difficult as most of the jobs are in plant construction/maintenance (mostly natural gas Plants) and the timings are horrible:bummer:
