Qahwa is what modern world knows as coffee. Arabic qahwa is quite thick and extremely bitter in texture and taste. What is famous in Pakistan as qahwa is actually a hot drink made from green tea

Its interesting to note that tea was not common in India till British introduced it and that too after so many marketing techniques.
