"Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

HARDtalk: “Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime” — Ataullah Mengal
Sunday 30-05-2005

… DT [Daily Times]: You are opposed to the proposed construction of cantonments in Sui, Kohlu and Gwadar while in your own area Khuzdar you have a cantonment.

SAM [Sardar Ataullah Mengal]: A cantonment was set up in Khuzdar when we were in jail. For God’s sake, nobody on earth has so far called the building of cantonments as development of those areas. A cantonment has got its own requirements, its own jobs to do, it has got nothing to do with development.

DT: But the cantonments are also said to be aimed at countering Al Qaeda elements and remnants of Taliban in Balochistan?

SAM: (Chuckles) The government is living off the name of Al Qaeda. This government is surviving on the name of Al Qaeda. If you finish with Al Qaeda there will be no Musharraf government there, I can tell you. I don’t know when Al Qaeda will be finished. An end to Al Qaeda will bring an end to Musharraf’s government. As long as the Al Qaeda spectre exists, Musharraf will continue to stay in power. It depends on how long they can prolong this…

Daily Times

Once the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan, the Amercans blew up President Zia-ul-Haq. Then offcourse the pro-American aunty Benazir Bhutto and the pro-American uncle Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan the poorest and the worst nation in the world to live in.

Why can’t the Pakistanis for a change think for themselves and elect a pro-Pakistani Maulana Fazalur Rahman, instead of following carrots like donkeys all the time?

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

Maulana Fazalur Rehman, a Pro Pakistani? LOL!

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

what a replacement you are offering who merely survived his seat against Mussarat Shaheen in one election. he is not credible enough to be trusted for a district government mate.

apart from diesel permits, i always remember his words once said while he was part of IJI - "women leadership is HARAM in Islam" and in next government he was minister under the same woman PM:)

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

Without making any comments about Fazlur Rehman himself, the simple reason is that the overwhelming majority of Pakistanis are opposed to the kind of policies that Fazlur Rehman proposed in the past and in the present. The kind of country that he wants is not the kind of country that most Pakistanis want, hence the poor performance of his party in Pakistani elections until after Musharraf cracked down on the PPP and PML leadership.

Re: “Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime” — Ataullah Mengal

Not that I support Fazlur Rehman, but Islam is a pretty flexible religion … rigidity is never a good thing. That’s why during Ayub Khan’s reign, when Fatima Jinnah ran against him in elections the JI advised its supporters to vote for her even though the JI held the view at the time that women were not allowed to lead nation in Islam. They simply stated that for the greater good over overthrowing Ayub Khan, it was allowed to vote for her anyway and install her in power.

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

Not neccessarily Maddy..if you ask an opinion of most Pakistanis a large proportion..probably in the 20-30% of the voting population would say they like the religo-political parties..the problem was they considered it a wasted vote ..vote JI get PPP etc

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

Mengall does not note how education in his province would lead to an end of the sardars of his type.

Re: “Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime” — Ataullah Mengal

:rotfl: the same thali ka bengan who casted fatwa that a woman cannot be ruler of a Muslim country only to join later the very same lady-ruler of Pakistan. Fazlur Rehman is as greedy and pathetic as Mr 10%, period.

Re: "Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime" — Ataullah Mengal

just for my information can somebody tell me where is the headquarters of this Al-Qaeda organization any written doc from them would also b appreciated..
or any regional offices.

Re: “Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime” — Ataullah Mengal

FYI: The only official document written within Al-Qaeda is authored by CIA on how to make bombs with some strategic plans to destroy Russia (when in Afghanistan), the same document is now used by that organization.

Re: “Qaeda’s end will end Musharraf regime” — Ataullah Mengal

The IRA in Ireland and ETA in northern Spain don’t have written documents or regional offices. Are you suggesting that they don’t exist either?

I have no doubt that the “documents” and “videos” the USA claimed to find in Afghanistan are forgeries, but the lack of documents and offices of any kind of group does not mean that it does not exist.
