Hi techies
here is a question i have for you i hope someone can help me out.
I want to buy i7 desktop PC with ddr3 memory etc. Windows Vista already installed.
But i am using software that works only with XP 32 bit (mainly editing software)
I want to ask you guys wether i can boot up and install XP as dual boot on the system i will buy (with Vista already installed)??
is it easy to install? i mean i know vista is very stubborn operating system i heard.
or do i have to first install XP 32 bit after that install Vista again.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Q: Vista + XP dual boot
If the editing software you are refering to is not a resource intensive work you are doing then, I would recommend using XP on a virtual machine software. You would run the XP virtual machine on your vista OS.
I have done vista/xp dual boot for a friend of a mine but I am not a big fan of dual boots.
Here is a good refernece though:

Re: Q: Vista + XP dual boot
I agree with Asif, no dual boot.
What kind of editing software do you have that won't work with Vista? Let's kill the problem rather than fixing it.
