Ok maybe I will go back to 9/10/2001 and alert the authorities of the 9/11 plot.

Re: Q&A: Zindagi aur Aap. Aaj ka Mehmaan: TLK bhai’s Answers

  1. Hmm, best things about being a father is that I can yell at them and very next moment ask them to give me a hug and they run and do that without a single shred of anger or ego. Makes me feel very humble and sorry.

  2. I honestly don’t remember, I think 2 years after 9/11, it was a very harsh winter and I had 10 days off. I checked out all the documentaries about 9/11 from the library and wife and I watched them the whole day. I think that was the last day when I actually cried. Just to put that in perspective, my older one is 8 years old and her one regular questions to me is ‘dad, why do men never cry’ :D, that to show you that she did not see me crying in last 8 years. Says a lot about my blessed life. Now that does not mean that I don’t get teary eyes, but mostly its out of joy and not sadness.

  3. TLK stands for all the justice and equality :jhanda:

Re: Q&A: Zindagi aur Aap. Aaj ka Mehmaan: TLK bhai's Answers

  1. Honestly Sazzie, I don’t. I get angry at people but that is a short term anger. If it’s a constant botheration, then I disconnect myself from such people, but I don’t hold grudges
  2. I have played mini golf. Mini golf is also golf, right?
  3. I would like to go back to either Pakistan or India.
  4. I like them but don’t ride them a lot cause I don’t get family support. Older daughter is slowly getting into them now so I ride some mild ones with her when get a chance.
  5. I never impose my personal likings or disliking on someone. If I have a genuine concern about that person, I will share with my daughters and will hopefully reach a conclusion, but their marriage will be a family decision and I expect them to understand that we parents would have an equal say in it as they would.
  6. Oh yes many times :D
  7. I mentioned it earlier, urdu version of Sahi Bukhari (I have it in 3 volumes)
  8. That must be when I had a glass of cold milk and bean burrito for lunch.

Re: Q&A: Zindagi aur Aap. Aaj ka Mehmaan: TLK bhai's Answers

  1. A relatively quite and quality time. Maybe having a cup of coffee with my wife or taking an afternoon nap with her. You have to understand that at my age, definition of romance is way different than what you young ones have in your books.
  2. I miss street hawkers and auto rickshaw sounds
  3. No never. I doubt that any serious minded person would propose anyone else on GS without knowing a lot about that person.
  4. I want to see that happening: D
  5. I want to be honest with you, I want to go to India. I am so intrigued by the history of that region and the fact that my dad was born and lived there till he was 14. I want to go and see his birth city.
  6. Hate is a very strong word that is not in my dictionary for normal human beings. I don’t hate Imran Khan, in fact I think he would be the best person (under given circumstances) to lead our country. Unfortunately, people in Pakistan don’t think like that (or he would have more seats in NA). When people aboard go ouot of their way to show loyalty to Imran, I get little bothered because it clearly shows that disconnect between the over seas mentality from the thought process of people who are living in Pakistan. This is the exactly through process of mine that you see in MQM threads. I don’t like MQM but 100 million people of Karachi do. The vote count shows that and I don’t want to override that choice. In nutshell, no matter which way we put it, it’s the actual votes that shows the real popularity of any person or party.

Iss shair main shair apni mehbooba ka zikr kar rahaa hai. Husn Jahan oos ke mehbooba hai aur Nazakat begum oos kee biwi ka naam hai. Shair keh raha hai ke jab bhee khuda mujhe mehbooba se milne ka moqa deta hai, peechay se biwi aa jaati hai.

Re: Q&A: Zindagi aur Aap. Aaj ka Mehmaan: TLK bhai's Answers

  1. Many times, especially when I cant say things in fewer words. I do not like posting long replies, in fact whenever you see my long replies, you will find a huge disconnect in my syntax. I stop making sense when I post long posts.
  2. We all should trust Google more than we trust each other.
  3. Life is not as complicated as we think it is.
  4. I am happy, but I like to do something else. What would that be, I don’t know, yet.
  5. From Karachi, when we friends used to bunk classes to go to the canteen and drink tea. From US, when I asked Niks to marry me.
  6. Sehrysh. Ok, on a serious note, that would be an Owl. A wise bird in the west and a symbol of foolishness in the east.
  7. Does playing Doctor/Doctor with other kids count?

Re: Q&A: Zindagi aur Aap. Aaj ka Mehmaan: TLK bhai's Answers

  1. No its not that easy. I may not see through people at first but over all I am a good judge of people. However sometimes, knowingly I let others take advantage of the situation. Small things don’t bother me and if appears to be an accomplishment for someone or it helps their ego, I let them.
  2. Honestly, we don’t argue. We fight and both of us give up easily and agree with the other person. When we are cool minded, its usually her opinion that we go with as she always makes more sense than I do.
  3. Niks jesi.

  1. I don’t miss God. I feel his presence all the times in our life. Whenever we pray for something, almos all the times it came true. I don’t think that Niks and I can feel more grateful to Allah than we do.
  2. Read answer 1 again
  3. Watched pot never boils. Mulk taraq’qee nahi kar raha kyun ke we keep asking this question
