Q1: What is the most rewarding experience you have had, and what made it so?

A: It may sound trite, but being a role model to my nieces and nephews. It's amazing, what their unconditional love does for a person - they love me and look up to me and make it incumbent upon me to be a better person - so it's a responsibility and its reward is seeing them grow into decent, moral and conscientious human beings.

Q2: Who is your superhero of choice, and why? A: Would it be a bad thing if I said, I never was into Marvel/DC comic superheroes? If I have to choose, Batman - there's a vulnerability about him and an essential human-ness - whereas the other superheroes are superhuman.

But I like real-life superheroes better - the people who are selfless in their giving to the world.

Q3: If you could travel back in time, what advice would you give your sixteen year old self? A: First of all, one of my favourite questions! To be more open-minded and free-spirited. Sometimes I think I was so busy doing the "right thing" and pleasing other's sense of right and wrong, that I forgot to enjoy myself and to make the most of each moment.

Q4: What is your general philosophy of life? Live and let live. I live by my own set of values and principles, I am answerable to Allah, my conscience and my family. While, I do not expect others to conform to my values, I do expect them to respect that I have a distinct opinions, and they have every right to expect that I will respect their right to distinct opinions.
